Mangaluru, Sep 7: In the absence of students in school, Carmel School management decided to have a unique celebration for three days.
The celebrations commenced with various competitions from September 3 with ‘Veg Carving’,
September 4 had ‘Cooking without Fire’, ‘Best out of Waste’ and ‘Mad Ads’ and
September 5 had ‘Group Folk Song'.
The entire faculty participated passionately with a childlike spirit in one or the other competitions which were held in teams. The culmination of this celebration was a fantastic programme with virtual display from the students greeting and entertaining the staff. The management organized a prayer service, a skit on ‘Tomorrow’s Smiles’ and fun games, followed by a fellowship meal. It was an unforgettable celebration that brought out the hidden potentiality of the staff with learning, fun and frolic.
There was a surprise visit from Nagasubba Reddy, the chief branch manager and Geetha Kishore, senior assistant, State Bank of India who greeted the staff and celebrated the Teachers’ Day by cutting a cake.
Sister Sarika, the principal, Sister Rose Agnes, the administrator, Sr Shanthi Laveena, vice-principal and Sr Marlin shouldered the entire responsibility with bubbling enthusiasm and enhanced the joy of the teachers.
