Panaji: Repatriation flight from London brings back 235 stranded Indians

Panaji, Aug 22: Amidst the pandemic, 235 stranded Indians were brought back from the UK by a chartered repatriation flight that flew from London while 96 passengers travelled back. The chartered flight was arranged by the UK team and it is the 33rd repatriation flight to land at Goa International Airport.

The flight was initially scheduled to arrive on August 15, but the aviation authorities sought for additional safety compliances due to which it was postponed.

Airport director, Gagan Malik said, "The 46th relief flight took off from Goa airport, which departed for London with 89 adults and seven infants. The repatriation flight brought in 234 adults and one infant. So far 33 repatriation flights have been served by Goa airport."
