Koppal: Former minister seeks ban on both SDPI, RSS

Daijiworld Media Network - Koppal (SP)

Koppal, Aug 21: Former state minister, Shivaraj Tangadagi, has demanded placing a ban on both the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI). He has termed them as both sides of the same coin.

Speaking to the media persons here on Thursday, August 20, Tangadi wanted to know the number of disturbances in the state in which RSS was involved. He challenged the government to ban all the organizations which have indulged in disturbances so far. "In the Bengaluru riots, MLA, Akhanda Srinivas Murthy, has suffered a lot. He is my relative. I visited him. The government, instead of planning to ban two organizations, should place a blanket ban on all the organizations which so far indulged in disturbances. If the accused are Congress workers, let them also face punishment," he stated.

The former minister alleged that the district in-charge minister, B C Patil, returns with a suitcase hanging from his shoulders, every time he visits the district. "Other district in-charge ministers hold meetings at Bengaluru by inviting officials of the concerned districts there. People are dying, without getting proper treatment for coronavirus pandemic. But the mister is not behaving responsibly," he alleged.
