Mumbai, Mar 22: “Though everyone needs the services of doctor self-care is most vital. The love, empathy and friendly life style can play wonders in maintaining personal health”, said Dr B M Hegde, former vice chancellor of Manipal University.

He was speaking at a special lecture on Blood pressure management organized by Mulund Bunts, at the Bunts Bhavan Auditorium, Kurla (East), here on Sunday March 21.
 
Dr Hegde explained about controlling the blood pressure, precautionary measures, medication and causes for fluctuation in blood pressure.  He said that human body is the greatest creation of God, which works perfectly in symphony to nature.  It’s the negative thought that leads to illness.  If one get rids of hatred, does exercise without much strain, he can lead a healthy life, he added.

Aikala Harish Shetty, president of Bunts Sangh presided. He said that there are many Bunts community organizations in the metro and the unity of the community makes it distinct in the country and elsewhere.


 
Nagriguttu Vivek Shetty, president of Mulund Bunts and Aikala Harish Shetty felicitated Dr Hegde on the occasion.
 
Mulund Bunts convener Suresh B Shetty, vice president Dr Satyaprakash Shetty, honorary secretary Palimar Vasant N Shetty, honorary treasurer K Jaya Sooda, joint secretary Anantha K Adyantaya, Prabhakar N Shetty, joint treasurer Hemanath T Shetty and women wing president Suchitha K Shetty among others were present. 
 
Nagriguttu Vivek Shetty welcomed the gathering.  Dr Satyaprakash Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.  Suresh B Shetty compered the programme.
