Mangaluru, Aug 3: Mulky Ramakrishna Poonja Industrial Training Institute has recognized itself at the state level by its achievements in providing skilled training in the industrial education sector.
This institute was established in 1984 at Mulky and later got shifted to Thokur in 2005. Now, the present facility at Thokur is situated in the middle of a lush green environment, has modern technology systems, experienced faculty and good fundamental facilities. More than 3,000 students have passed from this institute since 1984 and most of them are employed abroad and also in large scale industries as technicians.
This institute, which is managed by the prestigious Nitte educational institute has got permanent affiliation with the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) through the union labour department.
This institute is recognized by the National Quality Control Board of union government for the first time in the state of Karnataka. This itself is ample evidence for the quality of training imparted in the institute as well as the style of functioning.
In the Grading Survey that was undertaken for the year 2019-20 by All India vocational education department, Ramakrishna ITI has secured first place in the twin districts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi and 12th spot in the state level.
