Media Release

Mangaluru, Aug 3: The staff of St Agnes CBSE School along with the principal, Sr Maria Gracilda AC on August 1 celebrated the Feast of Mount Carmel and Vanmahotsava.

It was indeed a carnival at St Agnes CBSE School as the school welcomed the newly appointed superior and joint secretary of St Agnes Institutions Sr Dr Lydia Fernandes AC and also commemorated her Feast day.

The day began by invoking God’s blessings through a prayer service. The superior and joint secretary Sr Dr Lydia Fernandes AC inaugurated the programme by planting a sapling. Green is nature’s colour and as soothing as a cool refreshing balm. Green is healing, balancing and resorting. It is a sign of new growth in the aura.

The school campus was vibrated with a message that to sustain life on earth it is necessary to ‘Go Green’.

The energetic teachers performed a dance depicting nature and a tableau on Our Lady of Mount Carmel. The principal along with the staff choir raised their melodious voices in unison as they wished the joint secretary on her feast day which made the celebration more meaningful. The joint secretary of the institution then addressed the gathering and delivered her message.

The programme concluded by thanking everyone who made the effort to make the celebration a memorable one.
