Mangaluru, Aug 2: College of Computer Science and Information Science, Srinivas University Pandeshwar, organized an international virtual Conference on Computational Physics in Emerging Technologies on August 1, 2020.
The chief guest of the conference, Dr A Srinivas Rao, vice president, A Shama Rao Foundation and pro-chancellor, Srinivas University, mentioned recent advances in emerging areas of computational physics and also pointed out the importance of virtual conference in this COVID-19 pandemic situation.
Dr P S Aithal, vice-chancellor, Srinivas University, explained various emerging technologies of Computational Physics. He also mentioned about various simulation techniques and explained the importance of virtual conference for various researchers.
Prof P Sridhara Acharya, dean, College of Computer Science and Information Science who was present on the dais welcomed the gathering.
Dr A Jayanthiladevi, conference convener, mentioned that more than 100 scholarly articles received from various countries like Malaysia, Israel, Iraq, Romania, Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and out of which 54 research articles are selected for presentation and publication. She also explained about 8 Tracks of the conference which includes, Communication Engineering, Covid-19 and Medical Challenges, Intelligent Learning, Intelligent Secured Devices, Tools and Applications, Empirical Physics, Intelligent Systems for Children & Adults, Medical & Environmental Computing, Emerged Technologies and Applications in Commerce, and Management, Law and Ethics. These 8 each individual session are chaired by two eminent chairpersons.
The conference included speakers from different countries. There were mainly 6 invited talk, which were Dr Adriana Burlea-Schiopoiu, University of Craiova, Romania on the Topic “The Myth of Practical Approach of the Ethics Embedded in Emerging Technologies”. Dr Nana Yaw Asabere, HOD, department of Computer Science, Accra Technical University, Ghana, on “Big Data and Social Recommender Systems: Current Trends and Perspectives”. Dr Arup Chakraborty, Post-Doctoral Fellow, from Bar- Ilan University, Israel, on the topic “Computational Modeling of Electrode Materials for Li/Na-ion Batteries”. Piyush Mishra, from ICAR- DARE, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, New Delhi, on the topic “Impact of Computational Physics in Smart Farming”, Dr. Sudeshna Chakraborty from Sharda University, Noida, on the topic “Modern Research Trends in Computational Physics”. T Senthil Kumar from HCL Technologies, Chennai, on the topic “Machine Learning Trends for Real Time Applications”.
Around 54 researchers presented articles in this conference. Dr Krishna Prasad K, conference convener, gave away vote of thanks. The entire international conference held in Cisco WebEx platform along with the live telecast of the conference in YouTube and Facebook. Around 200 participants registered and witnessed the virtual international conference.
