Bantwal: Hill caves in obstructing traffic on B C Road-Ullal Road

Bantwal, Jul 31: A hill beside road at Mitthakodi, in Kurnad gram panchayat limits of Mangaluru taluk caved in due to overnight heavy rainfall on Friday July 31. Mud has hindered the flow of traffic on the road from B C Road to Ullal via Cheloor, Bolyaru and Mudipu.

Alternative arrangement is made for vehicles going to Mangaluru from B C Road via Melkar and Bolyar to proceed from Bolyar to Mudipu via Kurnad.

Local gram panchayat had hung a banner here two months ago warning motorists of landslides and to drive carefully.
