Kaup, Jul 27: The appointment of Kaup MLA Lalaji Mendon has been withdrawn from the president of Karnataka State Backward Classes Commission (KSBCC).
Earlier in the morning on Monday July 27, chief minister B S Yediyurappa had ordered the appointment of Lalaji Mendon as president of KSBCC.
Lalaji’s name was one among four others whose names were withdrawn from the posts they were assigned.
Lalaji is the only MLA representing BJP from fishermen's community. He has been elected as MLA of Kaup constituency thrice till now.

Kaup, Jul 27: BJP leader Lalaji R Mendon has been appointed president as Karnataka State Backward Classes Commission (KSBCC).
He is the current MLA of Kaup constituency and an active member of BJP party.
Chief minister B S Yediyurappa ordered the appointment through an order dated July 27.
It may be recalled, Lalaji R Mendon had won 2004 and 2008 state elections also.
He was the first president of Kaup BJP Yuvamorcha. Lalji Mendon also served as the state BJP secretary and Udupi district BJP secretary. He was an active member of many service rendering organisations including Kaup Mogaveera Mahasabha as president for six years. He has also served as president of different educational institutions also.
