Bengaluru: Three women waiting for treatment die before help arrives

Bengaluru, Jul 13: On Sunday, July 12, three women who were waiting to be treated, died before they were treated. Two of them breathed their last at the hospital door while the other lost her life inside a house which was sealed down.

A 67-year-old woman who did not get a bed struggled for life at the door of Victoria Hospital here before losing her life. Before that she had travelled to various hospitals in an ambulance, seeking a bed.

A 42-year-old woman who was suffering from respiratory problem also moved from one hospital to the other in an ambulance. She did not get treatment anywhere. Finally, she breathed her last when nearing K C General Hospital in the city. 

A house at Hatti goldmine employee was sealed down as a member of the family was infected with the coronavirus. The infected person's aged mother, who was suffering from a heart ailment, was overcome by fear at this development and died on Sunday. Trade Union Centre of India state secretary Chinnappa Kotriki said that an employee of Hatti Gold Mines had tested positive for coronavirus infection and therefore his house was sealed down on  July 9. The throat swab samples of family members have yet to be collected and sent for testing. "The negligence of the taluk administration in this incident is apparent," he alleged.
