Udupi: John Fernandes elected as president of Lions Club Udyavara Sunshine

Udupi, Jul 12: The executive committee meeting for the fiscal year 2020-21 of Lions Club Udyavara Sunshine was held recently. The senior member of the club Ln John Fernandes was elected as the president.

The programmes were held at the Nithyananda Sabha Bhavana of Balaipade. The programme was held under the presidentship of founder president Ln Henry D'Souza. Coordinator of GSV Ln Sunil Salian was present. Gerald Pereira was re-elected as the secretary for the new fiscal year. Retired headteacher Godfrey D'Souza was elected as the treasurer. Various office bearers were also elected at the same meeting.

Ln John Fernandes has served in the Kuwait Airways for 25 years as a senior officer and has settled down in Udyavar. He is also serving as the vice-president of Krushi Sangha Udyavar. Even when he was a student, he possessed leadership skills. He is also the former president of CYA. He has also served as the coordinator of resource committee of the renovated St Francis Xavier church of Udyavar. Further, he also served many years as the member of the parish council.
