Mangaluru: CODP holds seminar on cancer, coronavirus

Mangaluru, Jul 10: CODP on July 9 held an information seminar on cancer and coronavirus for Mudipu self-help group members at St Thomas Church, Ammembal.

CODP convener Rita D’Souza explained that certain precautions will enable us to stay away from coronavirus.

Sparsha project convener Shilpa D’Souza explained how to prevent cancer, its treatment, providing confidence to the patients and that it is better to get treated for it in the initial stage. She said that it is better to use organic foods instead of chemical based ingredients for health.

CODP director, Fr Oswald Monteiro and Ammembal church parish priest, Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas suggested maintaining health and said that we are responsible for our health and that health is wealth. Free food packets were distributed to the poor from CODP on the occasion.
