Santhosh, Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Science & Engineering, NMAMIT, NITTE, developed an innovative touchless ‘Theertha Dispenser’ for temples. This innovative device was inaugurated at ‘Mahaganapathy Temple' of NITTE campus on June 16 by Dr Niranjan Chiplunkar, principal, NMAMIT. Dr I Ramesh Mithanthaya, vice principal, Prof Yogeesh Hegde, registrar and Dr Karthik Pai, HOD of ISE were present at the function.
This touchless Thirtha Dispenser provides the advantages of social distancing. On placing the hand near the dispenser output the device will automatically sense the palm and dispense Theertha. Easy installation, easy refill, low maintenance cost and low power consumption are its added advantages.
