M'luru: Webinar on 'COVID-19: Educator’s Challenges and Responses' organised by St Agnes College

Mangaluru, Jun 15: A three-day webinar on 'COVID-19: Educator’s Challenges and Responses', organized by the Departments of Psychology and Clinical Psychology at St Agnes Centre for Post Graduate Studies and Research kicked off on June 15 with the inaugural function.

At the outset, Dr Kavyashree K B led the attendees in prayer. The function was presided over by the principal Sr Dr Venissa A C who gave a warm message to all the attendees. She spoke on how COVID-19 has changed our lives, and how having a positive outlook and practising self-care can be useful tools in overcoming these difficult times.



The MC, Sarah Crasta introduced the convener of the webinar, Dr V Premanand, who gave an overview of the plan for all the sessions scheduled for the three days. The webinar is to be conducted from June 15 to June 17 and the intended beneficiaries are school and higher secondary school teachers. It will cover a range of topics relevant to managing stress and anxieties brought by COVID-19 situation in the country, and particularly, how one can manage the tensions arising from concerns about childcare and social distancing, syllabus completion, hygiene and other such challenges. The inaugural function ended with the introduction of the first speaker of the day.
