Mangaluru, Jun 7: The coronavirus outbreak has undoubtedly resulted in severe economic crisis. Almost all businesses, big or small, were completely shut for over two months. Now with 'unlock 1.0' being announced by the government, businesses are gradually opening with enhanced safety measures. However, with coronavirus cases still spiking every day, it will take time for business activity to resume normalcy. The gradual reopening of business establishments is nevertheless expected to kickstart the economy that has remained dormant for the past couple of months.

Malls permitted to reopen after over two months of complete shutdown will have to strictly follow certain guidelines specified by the administration, such as hygiene, social distancing, wearing of masks and so on.

City Centre Mall is all set to resume its business from Monday, June 8. Authorities have instructed to adhere to all preventive and precautionary measures to ensure the safety of all customers, retailers and vendors at the mall.

- Air conditioning would be provided in the mall for a temperature of 24-30 degrees as per the government norms.

- Controlled customer entry as per social distancing norms.

- All customers and staff entering the mall will be screened for body temperature with thermal scanners and ensure that they follow the COVID-19 precautionary protocol.

Another risky decision, specially now, when cases are already increasing as immigrants flow in. Just one mistake now, and the last two months of sitting at home will be rendered a complete waste.

Reviving economy is a good and required thing to be done. But we should be socially responsible for our sake and all around us. We should not relax and do irresponsible things which will effect all of us. See what happened when buses were opened for service. Couple of days everything was ok but then the same story...…….Even if we cant good things let us not bad things...………...Wish the best for all

Citizens of Mangaluru, will certainly be apprehensive n cautious, as economic revival is springing back to life. The sporadic rising positive cases, are disheartening, yet with a pray on the lips, normal activities will resume... be safe and stay healthy !!!!

Whatever opens, life is more important. For next 1 year atleast if one is sensible he, she will not go to restaurant or malls. Coronavirus vaccine has not arrived as yet. This is dangerous proposition. Precaution is not an alternative when cure is not found. We have to change oyr lifestyle we have to live through this pandemic which is war with invisible enemy around you always. Fear mongering is not what am talking about. Being alert, beung responsible, being safe and safegaurding you abd your family, neighbours, felliw citizens us each individuals national responsibility

I dont think we should be relying on vaccine...there are many virus like HIV for example which do not have a vaccine yet.. waiting for a vaccine is foolish. Instead we should increase our body immunity and continue with our lives.
