Karkala, May 29: NITTE (Deemed to be University) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with i6TG, one of the leading human resource companies headquartered in Japan, after a Video conference.
As per the MoU, i6TG would work with NITTE institutions and provide training, internship and placement opportunities to the students of different programmes of NITTE, with leading Japanese companies. i6TG would also facilitate academic collaborations and the establishment of Centres of Excellence with support from Japanese companies.
Dr M S Moodithaya, pro-vice-chancellor, NITTE (Deemed to be University) and Dr Niranjan Chiplunkar, principal, NMAMIT, represented NITTE in the discussions. I6TG was represented by Ryuji Sato, CEO and other senior executives. Professor Harikrishna Bhat, director (International Collaborations – Asia Pacific, NDU), and Yasuko Sato, Japanese Linguist facilitated the meeting and MoU signing activity from Tokyo.
For ensuring that the students recruited through i6TG merge well with the Japanese culture, a soft skill development programme including the Japanese language component has already been launched at NITTE. i6TG will further train the students on the Japanese way of life and culture, as per the MoU.
