Chikkamagaluru: Fearing coronavirus, man in isolation ward commits suicide

Chikkamagaluru, May 24: In a tragic incident occurred in the district, a man, who was depressed because he suspected that he has coronavirus infection, killed himself in the isolation ward.

It is learnt that the deceased was a 53-year-old man from Koppa of the district. He hanged himself in the washroom of the hospital.

The deceased man was admitted to the district Covid hospital as there was suspicion that he has contracted coronavirus infection. His throat swab and blood samples were sent for testing. However, he killed himself even before the result of his samples could arrive.
