Bengaluru: Health and Family Welfare dept issues guidelines for holding functions

Bengaluru, May 19: The state department of Health and Family Welfare has provided certain guidelines as follows for celebrations following its decision to relax lockdown.

1. Permission should be taken from local administration before celebrations

2. The number of guests for weddings should not exceed 50

3. The celebrations should be held in well-ventilated areas and air conditioners should not be used

4. People residing in containment zones should not participate

5. People above 65 years, pregnant women and children below ten years cannot participate

6. Sanitizers should be provided at the entrances and suitable places

7. Thermal screening at the entrance is mandatory. The scanner should be held at a distance of 3-15 centimetres from the person.

8. Those who have fever, cold, cough and breathing difficulties should not take part. They should consult a doctor immediately.

9. The participants should wear a mask.

10. The guests should maintain a distance of not less than one metre from each other

11. Provision of hand wash, tissue paper and water at wash basins and toilets is mandatory

12. Chewing of pan, Gutka and smoking is banned

13. The venue should be clean and hygienic

14. Spitting in public places is banned

15. An identifiable nodal officer should supervise the arrangements

16. The names and contact details should be maintained mandatorily

17. The guests should download ‘Arogya Setu’ app from google play store
