Mumbai: Tulu Parba – 2010 Concludes With Tulu Drama, Yakshagana

Mumbai, Jan 9: The week-long ‘Tulu Parba – 2010’ organized by the metro-based ‘Kalajagattu’ to mark 31st annual day celebrations concluded on Friday January 8. The function was held on Friday evening at Radhabai Timmappa Bhandary Hall of Buntara Bhavan here. 

At the programme, working president of the sports committee of Buntara Sangha Mahesh S Shetty was conferred with ‘Kalajagattu 2010’ award. Organizations Karnataka Sangh Matunga (president – Manohar M Kori), Kannada Seva Sangh Powai (president – R G Shetty) was recognized for its services.

Sammelan president Aikala Harish Shetty, presided over the stage programme. Arab Group of Hotels Abu Dhabi managing director and Karnataka Rajya Prashasti awardee Kalattoor Shekhar Shetty was the chief guest.












































The members of ‘Kalajagattu’ team presented ‘Ee Bale Nammavu’ Tulu drama, while artistes of ‘Kalajagattu Chinnara Bimba’ performed Tulu Yakshagana episode, ‘Koteda Babbu’. 

The programme ended with the benedictory address by Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji of Udupi Sri Pejawar Mutt. Surendra Kumar Hegde and Kritika Amin presented the programme.

Bombay Bunts Association president Jayant K Shetty, Devadiga Sangha Mumbai president K Mohandas Devadiga, Shaffi Welfare (Beary) Mumbai president B Mohiddin Mundkoor, ‘Mogaveera’ monthly editor Ashok Suvarna and Navi Mumbai city councilor Santosh D Shetty among others were present on the dais.
 
‘Kalajagattu’ president Vijaykumar Shetty, Sammelan Reception Committee president R K Shetty, vice-president Krishnaraj Shetty, honorary general secretary Surendra Kumar Hegde, honorary treasurer Raghuvir Bhat, joint secretaries Madhusudan Shetty and Harish M Shetty, joint treasurer Prithviraj N, working president Bhavanishankar Shetty, deputy working president Prabhakar Shetty and programme committee working president Anil Shetty Yelinje were present.
 
Working president of ‘Tulu Parba’ cultural committee Ratnakar Shetty Thane, Women’s Committee working president Chandravati Vasant, Literary Committee working president ‘Vishwanath S Hegde, Media and Publicity Committee working president Premnath Mundkoor, Food and Accommodation Committee working president Prakash T Shetty Nalyaguttu, Transport Committee working president Vishwanath Shetty Moodushedde, Advertisement and Finance Committee working president Ramanand Rao and Mass Contact Committee working president P Dhananjay Shetty put in efforts to make the week-long cultural extravaganza of Tulunadu a success.
