Karnataka Sangha is a secular and non-profit organization that has been conducting various successful socio-cultural programmes in Sharjah and Northern Emirates for the past seven years under the auspices of Indian Association, Sharjah.
Sharjah, Dec 23: Karnataka Sangha here held its seventh General Body Meeting at Jacky’s Restaurant Hall, recently.
Current President Noel D’Almeida was unanimously reelected as the president of Karnataka Sangha for the second term. At the same time Sugandhraj Bekal was elected as the general secretary for 2010.
The newly elected bodies of executive committee for 2010 took oath in the presence of patron Mark Denis D’Souza and former presidents B K Ganesh Rai and Prabakhar Ambaltere.
The following are the new executive committee members of Karnataka Sangha for 2010. President, Noel D’ Almeida, vice-president, Anand Bailoor, general secretary, Sugandhraj Bekal, joint secretary, Vasanth Bekal, treasurer, Shashikant Kanangi, joint-treasurer, Yadav Kotian, entertainment secretary, Dinesh Acharya, joint entertainment secretar, Giridhar Naik, sports secretary, Raju Bhandary, joint sports secretary, Jeevan Kuckian, media co-ordinators, Sathish Poojary, advisors, B K Ganesh Rai and Prabhakar Ambaltere and grand patron, Mark Denis D’Souza.
Working Committee Members
Shantaram Achar, Mohammad Shahada, Nityananda and Vishwanath Shetty were elected as working committee members. Current media co-ordinator Sujay Bendore will continue to serve in the role until his current stay in UAE.
President Noel D’Almeida in his speech ensured to carry on the responsibility to the best of his ability and also keeping up the Karnataka Sangha Sharjah flag flying high with its goals and strategies. At the end of the meeting, general secretary Sugandhraj Bekal delivered the vote of thanks.
