'The Puttur Club' lends helping hand to needy

Puttur, Apr 13: 'The Puttur Club' in the rural town of Puttur has been doing remarkably well in reaching and identifying those homes in remote areas & providing them with grocery & other requirements.

Dr Deepak Rai, the president of the club, felt the need in supporting the administration as he being a government doctor knew for a fact that it was practically difficult to reach out to everyone at this time of crisis.

His main aim is to locate those deserved ones in the remotest areas & provide them with the basic needs. The kit provided by The Puttur Club would include rice, dal, sugar, oil, spices, soap & detergent, onions, pickles etc.. with quantities depending on the strength of the families.

Members of the club and also other like minded persons have come forward to assist and contribute for the noble cause taken up by The Puttur Club.

Deepak K P, Rupesh Shet, Vishwas Shenoy, Akash Aithal, Xavier D'Souza, Dattatreya Rao, Gangadhar Rai, Suresh Rai & many others have assisted in the distribution programme which so far has benefited more than 100 families or more than 450 beneficiaries.

The Puttur Club has also distributed free masks and sanitizes to various volunteers who are assisting the administration in the fight against covid19.

The Puttur Club aims at serving the society and extending a helping hand to support the Prime Minister in whatever measures taken to control spread of the global pandemic.
