Kasargod, Dec 12: The policemen of Tamil Nadu state have been accused of taking away two kilograms of gold ornaments from the robbers during the investigations into the robbery of 32 kgs of gold ornaments from Periya branch of North Malbar Grameena Bank in the district.
A report on the investigations in this respect has been submitted in the local court of the first class magistrate by the deputy superintendent of police, Hosadurg, who has been heading an investigation into the robbery of the said bank. The court, on the basis of the report, has ordered for a detailed inquiry into the allegations and ordered issuance of notices to Tamil Nadu Kallakkurishmi circle inspector, Murali and sub-inspectors, Rajani and Setumati.
During the interrogation of Anjali, wife of Krishmaurty, the brain behind the theft, she had revealed that the gold ornaments were taken away by the police personnel. She said she had buried two kilograms of gold ornaments in the backyard of her house, but the ornaments were not found there after the Tamil Nadu policemen questioned her, it is gathered.
