Beltangady, Dec 11: State Chief Minister, B S Yeddyurappa, clarified that a final decision about deferring the winter session of the assembly, scheduled to be held from December 14, has not yet been taken. He said that a decision would be taken after discussing the issue in the parliamentary committee meeting.
Speaking to reporters at Ujire SDM College during his visit for the inaugural of Vishwa Tulu Sammelan, he clarified that the legislative council election schedule was announced after the assembly session notification was issued. “There is confusion about the propriety of holding the session at a time when council election is scheduled. We will hold discussions in the committee meeting and arrive at a decision in a couple of days,” he said.
He asserted that the government will do its best to implement the resolutions that may be passed at Vishwa Tulu Samelan, through positive actions for the demands of Tulunadu. The government will also extend full support for the development programmes of the region, he added.
