Kundapur, Apr 8: Moldova is a small land-locked nation in Europe. As the country has also been invaded by coronavirus, total lockdown for a period of 60 days has been announced. As a result, many including 15 people from Karnataka have been facing problems. A girl student from Kundapur is one among them.

Anusha Suvarna, daughter of Raveendra Suvarna from Voderahobli here had been to Moldova along with 14 other medical students from Karnataka for pursuing medical education. All of them have now sought help from the state government to help them return home.

Anusha is a second-year MBBS student. She has neither been able to return home nor get the items of necessity. She and the other students are inside their hostel rooms since the lockdown. The students have written to the state medical education minister seeking his help to come back to India.

The airport there is closed since March 17 and the Indian embassy has not been functioning. The students are clueless as to whom they could approach for help. Therefore, they decided to send a message to the state government through WhatsApp with a hope to solve their problems as coronavirus has been spreading fast in the country.

A total of over 500 students including those from Karnataka are facing problems in Moldova. Anusha's parents are worried about their daughter. Ranjith Kundapur a close relative of Anusha has urged the government of India to take initiative as students from different states are leading a life of uncertainty in the distant country.
