Mangaluru: Police arrest one for sporting fake ‘press’ sticker on car

Mangaluru, Apr 6: One person was arrested for unauthorized and fraudulent use of ‘press’ sticker on his four-wheeler.

The arrested has been identified as Hussain Ali (58), a resident of Viveknagar, Bengaluru.

On Sunday, April 5, at around 6:45 pm, an Innova vehicle with registration number KA 52 M 4268 was moving suspiciously.

When checked, the car was sporting fake ‘Press’ and ‘The Hindu’ sticker on the rear windshield. Kankanady town police station personnel took the accused into custody. A case was registered against him and the vehicle was seized.

    Check all the vehicles that has stickers "PRESS". The Police will come to know everything. Under the guise of this sticker many misuse their vehicles. Book them and confiscate the vehicle.

    FYI the bank employees also hav a letter in hand which is signed by the Regional Manager as authorised by DC. So unawareness shldnt b d basis for conclusion. Bank employees r doing a commendable job, kudos 2 them. All other fake id card holders must be criminally prosecuted and vehicles seized and auctioned. Go well, Mangaluru Police.

    There might be many more. I cannot understand the bank employees cars have their bank name and mentions essential service. Anyone can print and stick a A4 size on the cars.
