Chikkaballapur, Apr 6: The officials, after finding that 15 persons were living together in a house although several of them were displaying symptoms of coronavirus infection, arranged for their home quarantine.
On Saturday, officials of the health department and volunteers had visited a house in Bapujinagar, Gudibande, where a Muslim family resides, three to four times as they got suspicious about the movement of family members. The house owner gave the wrong figure to the officials each time. The health department officials, who grew suspicious, got police help and checked the house. They found that there were 15 people inside the house including nine persons who came from Hirebidanur in Gauribidanur. Four among them had over 105-degree fever.
Hands of all the 15 were stamped for quarantine. When they were brought in two ambulances for home quarantine, inpatients at the hospital got scared and began to run helter-skelter. The doctors had a hard time convincing them to return to their beds.
