Kundapur, Apr 2: Byndoor police sub-inspector Sangeetha, along with other staff raided a spot in Maski, Navunda village in the taluk and arrested three persons. The arrests were made for slaughtering a buffalo.
The team got information that some people were slaughtering a buffalo inside a shed located behind Fatima Manzil at Maski. Accused N C Mansoor, Muhammed Sultan, and Qurshid Ahmed were arrested. During the raid, Muhammed Harshad, Muhammed Masood, and two others ran away from the spot.
During the inquest, the police found that the arrested persons did not possess any licence but had slaughtered a buffalo, made meat out of it and tried to sell the same. Over 200 kg of meat, other equipment, a Maruti Omni car used for meat transpiration, a Maruti Swift car, two motorbikes, and a scooter were seized by the police.
