Lockdown period witnesses intensified family disputes

Daijiworld Media Network - New Delhi (SP)

New Delhi, Apr 1: One of the offshoots of the prolonged lockdown period in the country appears to be increase in family quarrels. Media reports have already come out with tales of liquor addicts from various states who have committed suicides because of the fact that liquor shops are closed.

Available statistics has indicated that during a week of lockdown, there was increase in the atrocities on women. National Commission for Women received 58 such complaints between March 24 and 30. Most of them are from north India, particularly Punjab. President of the commission Rekha Sharma, has said that the actual number may be five to six times this number, duly adding that women from the lower income group send written complaint through post, which takes some time to reach her.

It is said that men at home try to turn their frustration against their wives. Fight happens on almost all issues like cooking, cleaning, etc. In some cases, in spite of lockdown, women went back to their parental homes. Rekha Sharma says that women find it hard to file complaint at this juncture. As all the members are at home, it becomes harder for her to register her complaint, she analyses. She has advised such women to contact the nearest police station or police helpline in such cases.

It is said that the men, who are not habituated to the idea of sitting at home idly are also getting depressed on account of non-availability of liquor, gutkha, cigarettes etc during lockdown. The discontentment and frustration on business front pours out at this time, and their easy target would be the wife and many get sadistic satisfaction out of aggression towards their wives, analysts say.

A house is a woman's domain, especially in an indian setup, even though a woman might be employed. The woman is the boss. All men should learn to put up with their boss, if u want to live peacefully. If wife says clean the house, better get down on fours and start scrubbing the floors. If wife says dry the clothes, stop watching pointless WhatsApp videos and go dry the clothes including everybody's underwear...
Just do some meditation and think "this too shall pass" and silently curse the corona virus and not your wives..

Men who are not married, must try to remain single as long as possible.

Everything goes against the married men...

    ...including the Coronavirus.

Single men do not have any of these worries.

"actual number may be five to six times this number" This phrase is not only applies for domestic violence but also for positive COVID-19 cases as well. India have the least tested cases in the world and most of our population do not go to doctors when they develop mild cough and cold. They only go to the doctor when they are really sick. A 25 year old man died in UP, and BELIEVED to have covid positive( quoting from another news site). That means until he was very sick and dead, he is not checked for covid.

I do believe in this.Because same problem arrives when men go in pension. Many of them dont know how to pass the time and wives have problems what to say to their men who sit idle and only murring at them. Some men but take up some hobbys and occupy themselves. Some go on travelling together if they can afford. Here men cant go out side.Instead they be helpful in household cores and play with children for a change, children too will be happy to be with father one day or many days.Make use of your time and be ready to start to work.I too heard today that a study due to corona ,has improved the oxygen in atmosphere due to less cars, less industry gas,and less flights. They had measured in China,Italy,Spain and other states.

The routine cycle of life have gone for a toss !!! Men are not used to be home bound 24 hours... There is scarcity of provisions, many face financial difficulties... Fights and arguments will erupt due to flimsy reasons.. The situation worsens especially if men are addicted to substance abuse like alcohol/drugs.... The withdrawals symptoms of an addict, leads to insanity.... leading to suicidal tendencies !!!

That shows to what extent our family life is ruined !

Common guys, don't let your wife blackmail you, take the opportunity to learn cooking. Tell her that you can still survive if she threatens with 'maike chale jaaoongi'
