Mangalore, Dec 1: City-based Four Winds Mass Communication director, Elias Fernandes, inaugurated the annual sports meet of St Joseph’s English Medium High School, Kulshekar, here on Tuesday December 1 morning.
Speaking on the occasion, Elias opined that active involvement with sports activities, results in the improved physical and mental health of the students. This keeps them prepared to face the challenges of life later in life, he added, and urged the students to take part in sports activities without any hesitation.
Fr Valerian Pinto, parish priest of Holy Cross Church, Kulshekar, presided over the programme. He emphasized the role of sports in the life of the students, and conveyed his best wishes to the participants.
Teacher, Anil Monteiro, was also present at the dais.
School head teacher, Sunitha D’Souza, welcomed the gathering.
