Mangaluru, Mar 23: Police commissioner Dr P S Harsha on Monday, March 23 spoke about the situation currently prevailing in the city, where several people violated Section 144 which is in place. The lockdown came into effect on Sunday, March 22 at 9 pm and will be continuing till midnight on March 31.
In his message, the deputy commissioner urged people to stay indoors while the authorities work towards containing the spread of infections. The rules were put in place with a view to safeguard the health of the public. He also mentioned about the growing cases of coronavirus across the globe which has crossed the 300,000 positive cases and recorded over 14,000 deaths.
