Bengaluru, Mar 23: Close aide of yesteryear's Sandalwood icon Dr Rajkumar, film producer and entrepreneur V K Mohan Vakwadi alias Kapali Mohan killed himself in the room of a hotel in Bengaluru reportedly due to financial difficulties.

Mohan arrived at the hotel on Sunday night. He did not open the door of his room on Monday morning. The hotel staff grew suspicious and peeped through the room window and found that Mohan had hanged himself.

Mohan was a film producer. He was running a private finance business. He had built a posh bungalow, that was worth crore of rupees at Sadashiva Nagara of Bengaluru. In addition, he also owned a palatial bungalow at Vakwadi, his native place. Many well-known and talented actors used to visit his house. He was well recognized in the society and was member of many organizations.

Vakwadi was a well-known philanthropist. He used to help poor students for their education. He had lent financial help towards marriage of girls from poor families. He used to donate generously to religious functions, sports meet and cultural activities.

It is said that Mohan started facing financial difficulties after demonetisation. The Income Tax department has conducted several rides on his property and offices. Though he had recently got the bus stand complex through tender, he did not get the expected income out of it.

Readers comments and imagination, are really beyond comprehension.Does anyone of those commented have met or heard of this person in his lifetime. Do they know the reason why he committed suicide, not that I know. I have met him few times as a business contact, even though I didn't have any direct financial transactions with him. Unfortunately due to his own miscalculation,he suffered loss in businesses for which no one else can be blamed. Probably the pressures and tension of finacial burden forced him to take this step.I only pray for his family and hope that they take courage to bear this great loss and pain

Yes, blame demonetisation for your financial failure. People run the business with the fish market attitude and this is what happens. People don't even know the basics of lending or calculate a simple interest opening finance company. Private finance company means black money dealing, bound to lose. Then blame demonetization. Sad that he lost his life. Hope people learn from it better than blaming things.

People who indulge in corruption and illegal activities will continue to blame demonetization. It is a habit to commit wrong and put blame on others for the results. On one hand we aspire to have facilities like west but we still want to horde black money and not pay our taxes honestly. There r no tears for crooks of society. As you down so shall you reap.

I know Mr, Mohan , we do have a mutual friend. ''Private Finance Business' , ''blade'' or 'chit fund' companies requires lots of liquid cash for turn over purposes. There is lots of borrowing and lending. and dubious transactions. Hence obviously huge sums of black money is involved. Besides this the mafia too is involved. Perhaps when demonetization was announced overnight he could not declare the source of income for the huge amount of cash he had or owed or lent and may have incurred huge losses. This has happened to lots of black money hoarders. Nothing new. Anyways may his soul RIP.

    RIP Mohan

Suicide cases, child rapes / Plagues are the signs of the beginning of Kaliyug

The last 7 years before the end of Kaliyug will be horrible for all of us. No jobs, no water, no food available for common people hence people will steal during day time & start hunting pet animals as a source of food.

Repent and Pray. We have got no other options.

As if there was no Sucide before 2014 on account of finance
If ur business is clean and legal nothing to worry about tax /raids /demonetization etc etc
As long as there is some black dealing /illegal activities then only one has to fear about It Raids, police ase etc etc.
