Udupi: Kasturba Hospital Manipal functional from March 23, emergency services to continue

Udupi, Mar 20: As a precautionary measure to contain and prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID – 19), the management of Kasturba Hospital, Manipal decided that only medical emergencies and urgent services will be extended with effect from Monday March 23.

All the patients visiting the hospital will be screened out at a temporary screening kiosk arranged outside the hospital and then shifted to the respective department if further treatment is needed. Patients who do not require urgent treatment, will be asked to report back to hospital on a later date.

Restriction for entry to the intensive care units (ICUs), post-operative intensive care units will continue. Emergency services will be functional as usual.
