Both Siddaramaiah and H D Kumaraswamy are given Pilot and Escort service with the angle of VVIP security as they were former CMs. However, the pilot car service was withdrawn on the morning of Monday without any notice. This irked opposition leader Siddaramaiah, who had written a stern letter to CM Yediyurappa.
As soon as Siddaramaiah expressed his dissatisfaction over the withdrawal of pilot car from his security cover, Yediyurappa had written a letter to the home minister and asked him to look into the matter. Bengaluru city commissioner, who got instructions on the morning of Tuesday, ordered his personnel to continue the pilot car service to both the leaders.
