Mangaluru, Mar 14: In pursuit of enhancing the organizing skills of the young management professionals at SDM PG Institute, SDM PG Centre is hosting a national-level inter-collegiate Management fest 'Shreshta'. 'Shreshta’ in Sanskrit means 'The Ultimate' is pride that this Management fest has reached the 11th edition this year.

'Shreshta-2020' chose the theme 'Inizia’, with 11 management events namely Human Resource, Marketing, Business Quiz, Finance, Best Manager, Best Management Team along with photography and Culturals hosted on March 10 and 11. Premier B-Schools from across the country compete with each other for this prestigious trophy.

This year, to mark its 11th year, an additional mega-event quiz For UG students 'Sarvashreshta' was organized on March 10 as well as to observe the World Rotaract week which was celebrated from March 9 to 15, in association with Rotary Club of Mangaluru and SDM Rotaract Club. Rotarian Jathin Attavar, president of the Rotary Club of Mangaluru inaugurated the competition. Quizmaster, assistant governor, Rtn Sumith S Rao and Sorabh Nahata conducted this quiz most innovatively way by including an online quiz as the first round. It was a novel Kahoot App-based quiz with 25 teams participating in this quiz. Six teams were selected for the finals and first place with a cash prize Rs 10,000 was bagged by Alva’s College, Moodbidri and second place with a cash prize of Rs 5000 was bagged by MGM College, Udupi.

Director, Dr Seema S Shenoy, Rotaract chairman, Rotarian, Vinod D’Souza, faculty c-Ordinator, Dr Harshitha K, organizing committee members Deepa Nayak P and Ramya Shetty along with student co-Ordinators Varshitha and Chaitra were present on the occasion. The prize distribution ceremony was held soon after the event. All the above dignataries along with the quiz masters graced the event. Ideals Ice Cream was one of the main sponsors of the event.
