Bengaluru, Mar 13 (IANS): Coronavirus positive cases rose to six in Karnataka by Friday afternoon, an official said.
"Six samples are found positive for COVID-19 with one death from Kalaburgi," state health department's Information, Education and Communication (IEC) special officer Suresh Shastri told IANS.
On Friday, the Additional Chief Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Department Jawaid Akhtar met with all the city-based Consul Generals and apprised them about the prevailing coronavirus situation in Karnataka.

He informed them of the updated Ministry of Health and Family Welfare advisories and visa restrictions, including advisories issued by the state government and clarified their questions.
"Decision has been taken that strict 14-day home quarantine should be advised to all international passengers arriving in Karnataka from all COVID-19 affected countries," said an official statement.
The state government has also cancelled leave for all health department staff and issued an order to work on all general holidays till further instructions.
