Mangaluru: Srinivas Institutes to celebrate annual food fest 'HOG' on March 14

Mangaluru, Mar 12: Srinivas University, College of Hotel Management & Tourism and Srinivas College of Hotel Management Pandeshwar, here are organizing an annual food festival 'HOG-2K20' on March 14 at 5.00 pm.

The food festival is an annual event in the college calendar which started in 1992, to expose the students to the intricacies of event management. It is also an attempt to integrate society with the activities of the college.

The students are expected to generate a business model and execute it. They generate the funds, manage the production, finance and marketing functions of the event.

This year, the food festival has special features like,
1. Live food counters
2. Variety entertainment
3. Vegetable and ice-carving
4. Mocktail counter
5. Musical extravaganza

CA A Raghavendra Rao, chancellor, Srinivas University and president, A Shama Rao Foundation will preside over the function. Biju Varghese, executive director, Marches Hospitality, Legado Hotel, Udupi will be the chief guest of the event.

Dr A Srinivas Rao, pro-chancellor, Srinivas University and vice-president- A Shama Rao Foundation, A Vijayalakshmi R Rao, director, Srinivas Group of Colleges and A Mitra S Rao, secretary, A Shama Rao Foundation will be present at the occasion.
