Puttur, Mar 5: Navya from Pullaje in Koltige near Savanur in the taluk, who had gone missing at around midnight a few hours before her marriage was to be performed, has been found. She had gone to bed after the Mehndi ceremony performed the previous night of her marriage and fled after midnight once all the other family members slept.
Navya, who is found to have married her lover, appeared in Yelandur police station in Chamarajanagar district on Wednesday, March 4.

Navya's marriage was scheduled to be held at Shivakrupa Hall in Parpunja on February 26. But it was found during the early hours of her marriage that the bride to be was not to be found anywhere. As such, the marriage function was cancelled. She is found to have married her relative and lover Naveen from Kalmadka in Sullia taluk. It is learnt that she had escaped from her house in a motor bike driven by Naveen in the wee hours of February 26.
