Udupi, Feb 26: The top 12 emerging singers are gearing up to perform at the grand finale of season 4 of the state-level singing reality show 'Voice of Karavali 2020' organised by Rotary Club, Brahmavar, presented by Akshay Furnitures. The event will be held at Nirmala PU College, Brahmavar on Saturday, February 29.
The upcoming coastal singers are prepared to give a tough competition in season 4 of 'Voice of Karavali'.
The top 12 final contestants are Chinamy V Bhat, Mangaluru; V P Srihari Holla, Hosapete; Madhushri, Kediyur; Bharath, Theerthahalli; Deeksha Basrur; Sandesh Acharya, Uppoor; Lisha, Kokkarne; Samartha Chathurvedi, Shimogga; Vijayashree Bhat, Alike Bantwal; Anvitha G Murthy, Udupi; Nisha N Kharvi, Kanchugodu Trasi and Greeshma from Kateel.
The renowned singer and Kannada music director from Udupi, Yashwanth Acharya is one of the judges for the finale. Acharya is a national level singer who has been honoured with several accolades for singing. Dr Kiran Kumar a music director and a doctorate holder in music will be gracing the judge's seat.
Over 125 members participated in the Auditions rounds, around 33 including 5 finalists of season 3 participated in round two. After a lot deliberation from the judges, 12 contestants were selected for the grand finale.
The winner will win the title of 'Voice of Karavali' along with cash prize Rs 15,000, an attractive trophy and a silver coin.
The first runner up will get a cash prize of Rs 10,000 and the second runner up will get a cash prize of Rs 5,000 along with attractive trophies and silver coins.
The fourth and fifth place winners will get Cash Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000 respectively. All the finalists will get a cash prize, with a silver coin.
The spectators at the venue will also win attractive rewards. A reputable psychiatrist from Udupi and a social thinker Dr P V Bhandary has been selected for 'Rotary person of the Year -2020 award'. Currently serving at the A V Baliga hospital, Doddanagudde. He will be felicitated on this auspicious occasion for his incredible service in the field.
Avinash Kamath, who is a celebrated television host will be heading the show.
