Mangaluru, Feb 24: A five-day state level conference ‘Transplantex 2020’ held by Trained Nurses Association of India, Karnataka state branch and Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing, was inaugurated on Monday, February 24.
The conference was inaugurated by the chief guest of the day Dr Jothi Clara Micheal, director of Nursing, Strategy and Planning, India Operation Division PHIPL Gleneagles Global Hospital, Chennai. She emphasized on an overview of transplant nursing and standards.
Dr ATS Giri president, Trained Nurses Association of India, Prof P Girijamba Devi secretary, Trained Nurses Association of India, Prashanth Shetty vice-president, Laxmi Memorial Education Trust, Dr Larissa Martha Sams principal, Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing, Dr Theresa Leonilda Mendonca vice-principal, Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing and staff organizing secretary Aileen Crystal Periera were present.
Student organizing secretary Keerthi Anil unveiled the theme of the conference. Surina and Anusha Lobo compered the programme. Susan welcomed the gathering. Vote of thanks was rendered by Ashmitha Snehal Benis.
