Eagle10 Ventures holds Annual Investor Meet at Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Feb 17: Eagle10 Ventures, founded by Mangalore bred entrepreneur Pramod Dsouza, organized their annual Investor Meet on Saturday February 15 at The Grand Magrath Hotel here. The room was packed with Eagle10 members and guests wanting to venture into the angel investment arena. The event was themed 'Connect, Network and Learn'.

Pramod D’Souza welcomed the gathering and gave them a quick overview of Eagle10 execution in the last one year, the deal flow, evaluation statistics and plans.

Kailash Ambwania Serial Entrepreneur with multiple exits to his credit and a member of Eagle10 Ventures travelled from the US for this session. He presented an excellent talk on how US Venture Capital firms are looking at India for the next set of high growth startups. While sharing the global statistics of success ratio for VCs, he also gave great insights into the concept of home run and why investors should double down on the existing startups in their portfolio, which are doing excellent.



Ivan Fernandes, another serial entrepreneur with multiple exits and a member of Eagle10 Ventures from Dubai gave an interesting talk on the traits of successful entrepreneurs and what angel investors need to look for in a founder when they invest at a very early stage.

A panel discussion followed the two talks on the theme 'Early stage investment and opportunity'. It was a great panel of VCs – Manish Singhal from Pi Ventures, Rahul Chowdhri of Stellaris Venture Partners and Anand Datta of Nexus Venture Partners. Kailash and Ivan were also in the panel representing the entrepreneurs’ side of the world. Jatin Tehri from Innerwave Ventures and a member of Eagle10 group moderated the panel discussion.

After a brief introduction from Manish, Rahul and Anand of their respective fund, the panel shared their perspectives about opportunities in Indian startups, especially deep tech and consumer space, red flag triggers and what they bet on. Everyone emphasized a strong unit, economics being the key factor.

Post lunch, Prashant Pansare, co-founder of Eagle10 Ventures gave a quick overview of the Eagle10 Ventures’ app launch for members where they could review the deals, participate in the evaluation and track their portfolio.

The concluding part of the event was a status update from portfolio founders. Hardik Gandhi, founder of Zestl, Himanshu Kapsime of ShaadiSaga and Varun Saxena of Bolo Indya gave high-level updates and progress of their respective companies. The other portfolio companies associated with Eagle10 Ventures include NetAnalytiks, TravelSpice, MateLabs, PiBeam Electric and Awign.

Overall, it was a great event and all the participants took home loads of information on the angel investment space from the thought-provoking discussions and talks from the accomplished experts and panellists.
