Mangaluru, Feb 16: In a tragic incident, a man along with his young son allegedly committed suicide by jumping off the Netravati bridge in the wee hours of Sunday February 16.

The deceased has been identified as Gopalkrishna Rai (45) and his six-year-old son Aneesh Rai, residents of Baltila, Bantwal.

It is learnt that Gopalkrishna along with his wife and child had come to Konaje to attend a family programme. Thereafter, at around 4.30 am, Gopalkrishna took his son to Netravati bridge and jumped into the water.

In a death note found at the spot, Gopalkrishna is said to have written, "I have not slept for a week. I am committing a great sin by killing by son. Please forgive me." He also reportedly wrote that he was leaving behind his wife Ashwini Rai and going away.

Domestic troubles are said to be the reason behind Rai taking the extreme step, sources said.

The car used by Rai is said to belong to one Thimappa Rai.

Search is on to find the bodies.

Mangaluru rural police have registered a case and investigation is on.

TV serials & reality shows are main reason because they glorify all types of nonsense like business enmity, family feuds, divorce, multiple marriages. They make it to look like that these are all part of life and younger generation is misguided by this. These are also due we adopting or someone imposing on us the western culture.

These days it is very difficult to live peacefully under one roof. Before getting married, the girls parents check if the boy has parents living with him and if there is a maid employed by the boy's family. If the boy is living alone, then the girls parents are happy to get their girl married off. Else, they look for another boy. Girls sister and her mother's sisters teach the girl to keep husband in control and keep calling and interfering in her family life. They conspire to totally control the husband and fill the girls mind with filth. These family members from the girls side have had bad experiences in their own life and so assume that even the girl will have the same kind of experiences. The girl then eats up the boy by bickering on small issues, causing tension and immense depression every day. The girl ill treats the boy's parents and treats them like servants. The girl causes trouble whenever the boy's brother or his family visit them. The girl calls her mother and sister two times a day and keeps telling every small thing that happens in her family and takes their word as final. This is the real root cause of depression for married men.

So, please , if you have a daughter, marry her to a responsible and kind man and then please do NOT interfere in their life. If not, please do not marry your daughter and keep her with yourself. DO NOT spoil someone else's life and family.

By he time the guards are put to the bridge to save lives of those who jump to the river, many more lives will be lost as the concerned authorities are only boasting and not doing anything promptly.

How you know it's family dispute john?? There may be other reasons as well... Depression is one of the such reasons which makes a person desperate. Those who don't get married also commit suicide and suffer from depression.. Not to get married is a good solution....it depends on individual decision.
