Mangalore, Oct 27: Sarwin Deon Chandran, student of St Aloysius Primary School has entered the final round of national google doodle contest organized by Google. Sarwin, student of standard III contested under category standard I to III and his doodle is one among the 15 final entries. Google will honour final three winners at the award distributing ceremony and will publish the doodle at google homepage for a day on November 14 to mark Children’s Day celebration.
The contest `doodle for google’ with theme `My India’ entailed moderating the google logo. Over 4,000 children participated in the contest that was categorized into three based on the classes the children studied in from standard I to X.
The categories, standard IV to VII and standard VII to X too has 15 finalists each taking the total tally of finalists into 45 under three categories. In all 600 doodles were selected for the semifinal, which is 200 from each group. \
Sarwin Chandran, son of John Chandran, art teacher of the St Aloysius High School is the only contestant from the Karnataka state. He has drawn the doodle in a broad meaning of `India standing higher and taller’, depicting the tallest heritage building of India- Qutub Minar with a snake and charmer.
