Mangaluru: Carmel School bids farewell to students of std X

Mangaluru, Feb 11: Life is a journey and not a destination and at each stage in life there are entry and exit points. Though each leave taken is painful, it opens up the potential for growth. On this note, on February 8, a Thanksgiving mass was offered for the students of class X, after which Fr Maxim Rosario prayed over and blessed the outgoing students.

A farewell programme was organized by the students of class IX and the teachers on February 10 with great zeal and enthusiasm.

The students of class X were accompanied by their parents and were welcomed by flowers pinned on them by their parents. The programme began with the devotional prayer service thanking God for His love, strength, wisdom and courage bestowed on the students to fly high on wings of success.



An inspirational skit was enacted imparting a message on values of life followed by a group dance performance, a farewell song depicting their treasured memories in school.

Chandrima Monteiro the SPL, Medini S Rao, Gayathri Shreekesh, Shreya S Jain, Fathima Haniya, Anvitha Steefa Fernandes and Anshifa J of class X shared their cherished moments and heartwarming experiences. Prof Elsie Tharain, the speaker of the day shared her valuable insights and experiences with the parents and students that would enable them to take their further steps in life.

The principal in her message urged the students to stand by the values they have imbibed in their school life and wished them a successful future.

Shaleena B Sanil and Dhaniya Thomas compered the programme. Shreya J welcomed the gathering and teacher Lidwin proposed the vote of thanks. Mementoes were offered to the outgoing students.
