Mangaluru, Feb 5: Ten students of Srinivas Institute of Technology secured ranks in different divisions in the final examinations held by Vishweswaraya Technological University Belagavi for 2018-19.
Marine Engineering student Vinod Martin secured 8.78 CGPA points, first rank and VTU’s gold medal. He is currently pursuing post-graduate degree in Safety Engineering and is ambitious to be an engineer in Health and Safety in the Marine division in future.
Monisha Yadav S in the same division secured 8.39 CGPA points and rank. Tejus Kumar secured the fourth rank by 8.33 CGPA points, Rahul T L secured the sixth rank by 7.92 CGPA points and Dinesh M secured the seventh rank by 7.77 CPGA. All of them want to be Marine Engineers in the future.
Dhanya S secured second rank in MCA by 8.84 CPGA points and Joselyn D’Souza secured the fourth rank with the help of 8.72 CGPA points. They are employed as Software Engineers and want to develop unique software in the future.

Vaishnavi R B secured the third rank in the Electrical and Electronics division by 9.07 points. She is currently employed in SLK Software, Bengaluru and is desirous of starting her own business to provide solutions to consumers with several specialties in the future. Godwin Immanuel Castelino secured 7.98 CGPA points and third rank while Vikesh S D secured 7.94 CGPA points and sixth rank. They are employed in Madhoos Garage Equipments Private Limited and want to pursue post-graduation.
Srinivas Institute of Technology chancellor and A Shama Rao Foundation president A Raghavendra Rao, Srinivas Institute of Technology vice-chancellor and vice-president Dr A Srinivas Rao, college principal Dr Srinivas Mayya D, department heads and teachers congratulated the students on their special achievements.
The principal said that the institute has been providing a favourable environment and training for student education and entrepreneurship since the beginning and works hard to present high-class engineers to society.
