Mangaluru: ‘Seva mathu Prathibha Puraskaara’ programme held at KHB open grounds

Mangaluru, Jan 27: A unique programme titled ‘Seva mathu Prathibha Puraskaara’ (felicitation for service and talent) was held by KHB layout owner’s association at layout’s open grounds here on January 26. Those who served society and are talented were honoured on the occasion.

Actor Roopesh Shetty who achieved fame in Tulu and Kannada films, retired teacher K A Rohini, Pencil lead micro Archana, Guinness record holder Surendra Achar and students who secured more than 80% marks were felicitated.

K R Janardhan Babu, president of Kudupu KHB Layout Owners Association presided over the programme. Bhasker K, former mayor and local corporator inaugurated the programme. B A Khader Shah, district spokesperson and Ram Prasad, manager trustee, Dharmashastra Mandira Jyothinagar, guests of honour congratulated the felicities.

KHB layout’s Ravi welcomed the gathering. Members of the layout association and the local people were present. Sharada Arts activists Manjeshwar performed ‘Uttara Korle’ drama and other cultural programmes.
