Mangaluru: Shakthi Residential School and PU College conducts ‘Plogging programme’

Mangaluru, Jan 26: Event started from Padavinangady and was inaugurated by D Vasudev Kamath president, Shree Venkatramana Temple, Konchady who said about ‘Swatch Bharath’ focusing on Swatch Bharath, this mission of FIT INDIA will be a success in and around the Mangaluru city. Dr Shripathi Kalluraya P, finance officer, Mangalore University, also attended the programme as a chief guest and spoke to the gathering of 500 about the importance of the programme.

Kudremukh Iron Company managing Director, M V Subba Rao, said everyone of us should involve ourselves in cleaning our surrounding.

Dr Bharath Kumar M, general physician, Padavinangady Sree Rama Mugrody, president, Sarvajanika Ganeshothsava Samithi, Padavinangady, Prakash, director of Sridevi Engineering College, and Mohan Das Shetty, president of Padavinangady Lions Club, the chief guests of plogging programme, thanked Shakthi Education Trust for organising such a event. Sangeetha Naik, corporator, Pachanady, Jayananda Anchan, corporator, Kadri Padavu were also present. K C Naik, the managing trustee, Gopalakrishna Temple, was the president of plogging programme.

The programme started with welcome address by Baikady Janardana Achar, administrator and vote of thanks was proposed by Bhavyashree. Sreenivas B M compered the programme. Vidya Kamath G, principal, Shakthi Residential School, instructed the gathering about the measures to be followed. 

Ramesh K, chief advisor, Prakyath Rai, institute development officer, were supporting hand of the event.

Dr Sripathi Kalluraya P initiated the plogging programme, jogging and picking and litters. Students and staffs of Shakthi Residential School and College along with the members of various organisation, jogged and picked the litters from Padavinangadi to Kavoor KEB Colony, KHB colony, KIOCL Colony and the surrounding areas were covered in the plogging programme.
