Udupi: Nirmala English Medium School Brahmavar organizes Grandparent’s Day

Udupi, January 22: The purpose of the Grandparent’s Day is to honour and give grandparents an opportunity to show love to their children’s children, and to help children be aware of the strength, information and guidance older people can offer.

Grandparents are the delightful blend of laughter caring deeds, wonderful stories and love. Grandparents are like parents, teachers as well as best friends also to the grand children.

Nirmala English Medium School Brahmavar on January 15 organized Grandparent’s Day at the school auditorium. Sharadha was the chief guest of the programme. Fr Victor Fernandies, Fr Dominic Vegus, Badanidiyoore Keshava Rao, PTA president Veeranna, vice-president Leelavathi, principal Fr Joslie D’Silva witnessed the programme.

The programme began with a prayer song and lighting the lamp to invoke God’s blessings. Deepthi of class 6 expressed her feelings about grandparents. To entertain the gathering, a yakshagana programme was displayed by the yakshagana group of the school, who was trained by Keshava Rao Badanidiyoar.

The programme concluded at 6.30 pm.

Anuradha welcome the gathering, Irene proposed the vote of thanks and the whole programme was anchored by Savitha.
