Bengaluru: Take interval from CAA, give life to deluge victims - Former CM Siddaramaiah

Bengaluru, Jan 18: "Instead of fooling people about the CAA policy by which you are trying to divide and rule India, revisit the flood-affected regions of Karnataka and check whether the relief funds what you have given is right or not," said Siddaramaiah advising central home minister Amit Shah.

Siddaramaiah has asked some questions to Amit Shah through Tweet and has asked him to answer them.

Siddaramaiah tweeted, "Loss worth Rs 35,000 crore has taken place in the state of Karnataka due to flood. However, from the central government when you have decided to give the additional compensation of Rs 1,870 crore? First send the remaining funds for flood relief and then think about CAA and NRC."

In another tweet the former CM says, "Your party leaders speak in two tongues when it comes to Kalasa-Banduri project of the state. Earlier, when we were in power, BJP was with Karnataka. Now why BJP is supporting Goa in this matter? What is your stand on this? Give clarification."

"Two innocents lost their lives in the police firing that took place at Mangaluru during the anti-CAA protests. Public is saying that it was a fake encounter. Did you think an unbiased inquiry has to be conducted in this matter?" said one more tweet of Siddaramaiah.

Apart from the tweets the leaders of state opposition also had a verbal spat on Amit Shah and said, "Amit Shah is coming to Karnataka to tell lies. Lies are his capital. He had said that he will resolve Mahadayi issue. Maharashtra had to allow us to intervene. Now their government is there in both the states. Why it is still not resolved? Will he speak about this issue at least in Hubballi where he is going? Will wait and see."

Responding to the ban to be placed on SDPI for hatching plot to kill MP Tejasvi Surya and Soolibele Chakravati, Siddaramaiah said, "Attacking or killing anyone is wrong. There is no question of any party affiliation in this matter. No one should attack the other. Be it Congress or BJP, in this matter all are equal. I do not know about banning SDPI. But the same kind of activities are done by RSS. Whoever does these kind of acts it is wrong. I do not urge to ban RSS."
