Kuwait, Sep 12: “Fasting in Ramadan strengthens social belonging of unity and brotherhood”, said Ajai Malhotra, the Ambassador of India to Kuwait. Inaugurating the Ramadan Majlis hosted by Kuwait Kerala Muslim Association, an expatriate Association of Indians in Kuwait, Ambassador mentioned that the month of fasting help developing self-restraint, self-purification, compassion, the spirit of caring and sharing, and the love of humanity.
The program held at Jleeb Park on Thursday night continued until early morning hours was attended by more than 3000 Indian nationals.
The main speaker of the Hafiz Mohammad Anas Moulavi, a well-known scholar and orator from Kerala and chairman of Ain Al Marif Academy for Islamic Studies spoke on Thoughts on Death and Life there after. Yet another young scholar from Kerala, Ma’moon Hudavi presented topic on Concept of Family in Islam.
Sageer Trikarpur, KKMA chairman presided over the function. Mohammad Gharib Hatem, corporate relations manager of EQUATE gave a felicitation speech. KKMA president NA Muneer welcomed the audience, while A.P. Abdulsalam, working president KKMA proposed vote of thanks. Abdul Fatah Thayyil, general secretary of KKMA ably compeered the program.
KKMA is the largest social welfare organization of Indians in Kuwait. Ramadan Majlis was, a night dedicated for learning and sharing was conducted also for strengthening unity and brotherhood among the community.
