Mangaluru: Student who cajoled minor girl to accompany him arrested

Mangaluru, Dec 13: A student who allegedly cajoled a minor girl to accompany him and took her away stands arrested. Police personnel of Urva station here arrested him. They have registered case under different provisions of Indian Penal Code relating to abduction, and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

The arrested student happens to be Mallesh (19) from Uppala, who is studying in a college in the city. He had come in contact with a 17-year-old girl of north Karnataka origin. It is said that he talked to the girl and convinced her to come with him. The parents of the girl had filed complaint in Urva police station about abduction.

The police who found the whereabouts of the student and the girl, have brought them back. As the girl happens to be a minor, the student has been charged for abduction and under POCSO provisions, the police said.

    In Europe you don't find this type of problem in olden days this was not happening because there was love and affection in families all this happens when a child not getting proper love from his or her parents
    They go in search of love!!!
    Why you know they are educated about sex during their primary studies so it doesn't become so curious!!! parents should spend some time with their children

    Anything wrong with Mangalore and Indian Police that always Men have been targeted ???

    Is the girl still a kid ??? Why did she cooperate and go along with him if she is not interested???

    Girl and her Parents equally at fault for trapping the boy instead girl should have showed no interest to move around...
    Law and order should book even the girl and her parents as it equal to conspiracy and moral policing.
    Grow up Indian Law and Order and Police... Be sensible when you book cases. Do not let go either of the parties free... These type of conspiracies will also decline then gradually and don't be biased.
    Daiji, please take not of this and follow up on this news until even a girl and her parents are booked for conspiracy...

    she might be minor.. but she is 17 years.. not a 10 year old kid... but good that the guy is arrested... he is 19 and he should mainly focus on studies or his future.. but at this age they do such stupid mistake and spoil their entire life.... here none are innocent... the girls parents should also held her responsible instead they are just pointing out at the guy
